Mr. Lee Schaffler

Lee Schaffler, CFA, is a Real Estate Executive with nearly 25 years of experience across all property types including retail, multifamily, office, industrial and hospitality. Lee's specialty is large scale, complex mixed-use with expertise in asset management, portfolio management, leasing, capital markets and transactions, marketing, operations, and all executive leadership and management functions. As Chief Portfolio Officer for Strategic Property Partners Lee was a member of the executive management team responsible for the 5 million SF Water Street Tampa project, overseeing the investment portfolio and the asset management, leasing, operations, and marketing & communications teams. Lee is a 20-year veteran of J.P. Morgan Asset Management in New York where he was Executive Director, Real Estate Americas Group overseeing a portfolio of wholly owned and joint venture commercial real estate investments across the U.S. Prior to that he was an associate portfolio manager at J.P. Morgan, with responsibility for investing the real estate allocation of a large U.S. corporate pension fund client. He began his career in J.P. Morgan’s Global Tactical Asset Allocation Group. Lee earned a B.S. from Cornell University and an M.S. from Columbia University. Lee is a CFA charterholder. He was awarded the HEAA Young Alumni Achievement award from Cornell University and a Kinne Fellowship at Columbia University. Lee is a recipient of the ICSC’s “4 Under 40” award as well as a past Chairman of the ICSC Nexus conference series. Lee is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University. He is a past Chairman of the ULI Trends conference and an Executive Board Member of ULI Tampa Bay.
